To achieve business improvement
In order to assist any organisation it is critical that the business must be improved. No activities should occur that don't measurably improve the business. Change must be targeted towards the greatest benefit to the business
To achieve improved decision making
Organisations improve when better decisions are made. They can be long term strategic decisions or day to day operational, but when decision makers have the support to make better decisions the business or organisation will improve. People feel happier and more confident that they have made a better decision, not necessarily the right one, but certainly in the right direction.
To utilise existing business systems where possible
Change is difficult and large changes take time, are costly and upsetting to people. By minimising the change into small pieces, always adding value each step of the way, not only reduces the impacts of change but over time becomes part of the culture of the organisation, to be continually changing and improving.
